CREDENTIALS

The Visiting Nurse Association of the Greater Youngstown Area is Medicare and Medicaid certified. The VNA staff consists of experienced professionals who must be certified or licensed in the State of Ohio. They participated in an extensive orientation program, plus attend continuing education programs on new treatments, therapies and standards of practices. All VNA employees must follow a Code of Ethics, and respect and abide by the patient’s rights. All staff members are insured and bonded.

The Visiting Nurse Association of the Greater Youngstown Area is a not-for-profit agency, operated by a volunteer board. It depends on private donations and the United Way to support its services to those individuals who do not have the private resources for care not covered by third-party fee sources.

In addition to its home care services, the VNA operates geriatric health assessment and nutrition counseling clinics throughout Mahoning County. There is no fee for these clinics. Call, write or E-mail for schedules of time and dates of these clinics.
